The FIA F4 Global Esports Championship presented by MOZA returns on iRacing this weekend. The opening round is on Saturday 31 October at 19:00 GMT, and every race will be shown live on iRacing's social media channels. MOZA Racing is back as the presenting sponsor.
Thirty drivers will race for a prize pool of $35,000 (US dollars), with $15,000 going to the champion.
Who's racing
The 30 drivers are made up of 10 from each of three regions: the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe. They qualified through the FIA F4 Regional Tours, which ran for 12 weeks during iRacing's Season 3 and were open to all iRacing members.
Henry Moore, from the United Kingdom, won the title last season while representing Europe. He's back to defend it and will carry No. 1 on his car. iRacing says Dan Amor and Isaac Phelps, who also made last season's top three and also represent Europe, return too.
How it works
- Four rounds: doubleheaders on 31 October, 7 November and 14 November, with the finale on 21 November.
- Two races a round: separate 15-minute races at each track, after practice and qualifying.
- Fixed setups for every driver.
- No track preparation: drivers won't know where they're racing until 24 hours before each round.
