The Asetek Racing Initium DD10 Wheelbase is out now on Asetek's webshop. It's a direct drive wheelbase with 10 Nm of torque, and you can take it to 14 Nm later with a plug-in upgrade instead of buying a new base.

Asetek lists it at €419.33 excluding VAT on its webshop, with tax worked out by country and region. The DD10 page also gives a US list price of $499 excluding sales tax, but no US product page is live yet. It comes in four variants, with US, EU, APAC and UK power plugs. When we checked at 07:33 GMT, the UK listing showed low stock and the EU listing showed it in stock. Asetek says availability varies by country and regional webshop.

What you get

  • 10 Nm of direct drive torque, with what Asetek calls GripSense force feedback.
  • An upgrade to 14 Nm with a Boost Kit, sold separately. Asetek says it works by swapping the power supply. The DD10 product page calls the kit the Initium Wheelbase Boost Kit, while the landing page and FAQ call it the Asetek Racing Wheelbase Boost Kit.
  • A zero-play quick release with integrated USB passthrough. It takes the full Asetek Racing wheel range, and Asetek says third-party wheels are supported too.
  • Five rear connections for Asetek peripherals, so the base can act as the hub for the rest of your Asetek kit.
  • A 14-bit encoder (16,384 steps per turn) and a 96 W power supply.
  • RaceHub software for settings, and a USB-C host connection.
  • Warranty: Asetek advertises a five-year warranty (60 months on its DD10 page), though the shop's spec table lists 24 months.

The base measures 133 x 132 x 262 mm and weighs 7.92 kg.

PC and Xbox

The DD10 works on PC. It's Xbox-ready only when you pair it with an Asetek Racing Xbox-compatible steering wheel, which is required for Xbox use.

We covered the DD10's reveal in our SimRacing Expo 2026 hardware round-up (https://laptolanding.co.uk/news/simracing-expo-2026-hardware-round-up).
