Edinburgh has landed in X-Plane 12. HarExperience's EGPH Edinburgh Airport was released on Thursday 22 October, and it's for X-Plane 12 only.
What's included? The stores list the terminal complex, piers, gates, hangars and airport buildings recreated from real-world references, plus a detailed landside with roads and car parks. The runway, taxiway, apron and stand layout is based on real-world references too, with high-resolution PBR textures with weathering, custom ground markings and signage, and custom night lighting throughout. The terminal windows use an "interior-illusion" effect for depth without modelled interiors.
Compatibility. HarExperience says it works with Orbx TrueEarth, Map Enhancement, your own orthophotos and the default X-Plane 12 scenery, with no forced orthos. It supports AI traffic and ground operations, and HarExperience says it was designed with VATSIM and realistic airline operations in mind.
Performance. HarExperience says the scenery makes very little performance difference compared with the surrounding scenery. SimMarket lists 16 GB of RAM and 6 GB of VRAM as the minimum, with 32 GB of RAM and 8 GB or more of VRAM recommended.
Price. It's $18.99 on the X-Plane.org Store, and there's a 15% launch discount on SimMarket until 25 October.
Will you be flying into Edinburgh?
