MOZA has unlocked an extra 2 Nm of peak torque on its Ultra direct drive wheelbases with a free software update, released today, Monday 2 November.

What changes

The update covers three bases:

  • R16 Ultra: 16 Nm to 18 Nm
  • R21 Ultra: 21 Nm to 23 Nm
  • R25 Ultra: 25 Nm to 27 Nm

MOZA's video shows the R16 Ultra going from 16 to 18 Nm. The R21 and R25 figures are from MOZA's Chinese press release, published by ifeng.

How to unlock it

According to MOZA's video, you:

  1. Update MOZA Pit House to version 1.4.2.0 or later.
  2. Log in to your MOZA account and follow the torque unlock prompt.
  3. Update the wheelbase firmware to version 1.2.12 or later.
  4. Click Unlock Torque.

Pit House then shows the new peak torque for your base, for example 18 Nm on an R16 Ultra.
