World Update 23 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now, and it's free to all owners. It covers Poland and the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia), and Microsoft says it's the first time in the franchise's history that an update has focused on this region. You can claim it from the in-sim Marketplace.

What's included

  • 12 photogrammetry cities: eight in Poland, including Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk, plus Vilnius and Kaunas in Lithuania, Riga in Latvia and Tallinn in Estonia.
  • 77 points of interest, including Malbork Castle (the largest brick castle in the world), Sopot Pier (the longest wooden pier in Europe), Trakai Island Castle, the Riga Radio and TV Tower and Rundāle Palace.
  • Five handcrafted airports from Gaya: Kärdla (EEKA), Jūrmala (EVJA), Palanga (EYPA), Warsaw-Babice (EPBC) and Opole-Kamień Śląski (EPKN).
  • Missions in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. In MSFS 2024 there are three discovery flights, four precision landings, a Sopot landing challenge, a guided tour of Tatra National Park and a rally race. The Sopot challenge features the pier where Łukasz Czepiela landed a custom-modified CubCrafters STOL aircraft.

The update was built with Bing Places, Asobo and Gaya.

Also out: Local Legend 26, the Antonov An-28

Released alongside it is Local Legend 26, the Antonov An-28, a twin-turboprop STOL utility aircraft that seats up to 17 passengers. 191 were built between 1975 and 1993. It costs $14.99 USD in the in-sim Marketplace.
