Le Mans Ultimate's biggest special event of the season is the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and it takes place in the week starting 20 October.

When is it? Qualifying is on Friday 23 October at 11:00 UTC (12:00 UK time). The race starts on Saturday 24 October at 13:30 UTC (14:30 UK time). In-game, private qualifying is set at 21:00 and the race starts at 16:00.

Classes and grids. The event runs three classes: Hypercar, WEC LMP2 and LMGT3, on the Le Mans WEC layout, with 62-car splits.

Entry requirements. You need a Safety Rating of B2. Setups are open, tyre warmers are disabled, fair share applies, and you get 58 tyres in total for qualifying and the race.

Important tips from the developers. Le Mans Ultimate asks anyone racing this week to add +tracerudp=2 to their launch options to help with networking logs. If you are on a low or mid-spec PC, test a 62-car grid, the day-to-night-to-day transition and rain in single player before you register. The developers suggest lowering graphics settings, setting FSR to ultra performance and increasing your Windows pagefile to over 32 GB, and say that if you cannot run it smoothly, you should not register.

What's next? Later special events include the 8 Hours of Bahrain (week of 10 November) and the 6 Hours of Silverstone (week of 1 December).
