iniBuilds has announced Ilulissat Airport (BGJN) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The airport sits on Greenland's western coast, overlooking Disko Bay. iniBuilds says the scenery is "coming soon", and it hasn't given a price or a release date yet.

iniBuilds says it developed the scenery in close cooperation with the real Ilulissat Airport.

What's in it

  • Terrain: drone-captured aerial imagery and high-resolution LiDAR scan data form the airport's terrain, including its real-world runway slope.
  • The airport: handcrafted ground textures, detailed buildings with interiors, custom taxiway signs, and fully custom night lighting, including approach, runway and taxiway lights.
  • The town: custom city autogen and individually modelled landmarks, including the Icefjord Centre, Zion Church, Ilulissat Harbour and local hotels.
  • Winter: custom-made icebergs in the surrounding waters and winter snow coverage.
  • Extras: a GSX profile by RW Profiles' Elton Hjalmarsson, and Easter eggs to find.

iniBuilds signed off its announcement with "Stay tuned for further details!"
