Yoke or wheel? Thrustmaster's control app now covers both. My Thrustmaster Panel version 2.0.0.0 is now available, and Thrustmaster published its release note on Wednesday 21 October. It brings new devices, new settings and a brand-new interface.
For flight simmers. The app adds USB support for the TCA Sky Yoke X and the TCA Sky Yoke P, plus the T.Flight Rudder Pedals (TFRP) via the T.RJ12 adapter. The release note lists the rudder as "TFRP Rudder (through T.RJ12 Adapter)".
For sim racers. The headline is a new Truck Mode, with Engine Roar and rotation settings of up to 2160°. That's on the T598-P only, according to the release note. There's also support for the SimTask Truck-40 wheel add-on, wheel rim updates through the base for the T598 (2.06), and curve presets for the Raceline LC pedals.
What else is new. There's a new interface and navigation, a new firmware update process, new toast notifications, and two new languages: Japanese and Czech. The full list of supported devices is the T248R, T598-X, T598-P, T818, Raceline LC, TCA Sky Yoke X, TCA Sky Yoke P and TFRP Rudder.
Before you update. Thrustmaster asks for firmware 3.25 on the T598-P and 1.36 on the SPORTCAR wheel add-on. It also lists known issues, including connected wheel rims that may not refresh until the base is restarted, display problems at 4K, and a T598 wheel rim that can disappear after a base firmware update. Check the release note before you update.
Which are you trying first: the yoke or the trucks?
