Brussels, Hamburg or Helsinki: where are you flying tonight? Thursday 22 October is a busy evening on VATSIM, the free network where real people act as air traffic controllers for simmers in Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane and other sims. Tonight's events are run by the local vACCs and divisions.

Busy Brussels. The headline event is Busy Brussels at Brussels Airport (EBBR), run by Belux vACC every second Thursday. It runs from 19:00 to 21:00 UK time, and all aircraft and flight rules are welcome, so bring whatever you like flying. The banner says 18-20z, which is 19:00 to 21:00 in the UK while UK clocks are on BST (they go back on Sunday 25 October).

Also on tonight (UK time).
Helsinki (EFHK), Welcome to HEL from VATSIM Scandinavia: 18:00-21:00
Hamburg (EDDH), HAMburg Thursday from VATSIM Germany: 18:30-21:00
Leipzig/Halle (EDDP), Leipzig Thursday from VATSIM Germany: 18:30-21:30
Billund and Aalborg (EKBI/EKYT), Direct to Regionals from VATSIM Scandinavia: 18:30-21:00

How to join. You need a free VATSIM account and a pilot client for your sim. Check each event page on my.vatsim.net for the staffed positions and any briefing before you connect, and expect busy frequencies at peak times. If you're new, a quieter regional field such as Billund or Aalborg is a gentler place to start than Brussels or Hamburg.
