If you've been thinking about trying online air traffic control, Wednesday 21 October is a busy night on VATSIM, the free network where real people act as controllers for simmers in Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane and other sims.
Toulouse fly-in. The main event is the LFBO fly-in at Toulouse Blagnac, run by VATSIM France. It runs from 19:30 to 22:00 UK time, and both general aviation and airliners are welcome.
Also on tonight (UK time). Czech Online Day at Prague (LKPR) and Bratislava Wednesday (LZIB) run from 18:00 to 21:00. Munich Wednesday (EDDM) and vACC Austria's Weekly Wednesday at Vienna and Innsbruck (LOWW and LOWI) run from 18:30 to 21:30. The Eindhoven Rumble (EHEH) runs from 18:30 to 21:00, and Cologne Wednesday (EDDK) runs from 19:00 to 21:00.
How to join. You need a free VATSIM account and a pilot client for your sim. Check the event pages on my.vatsim.net for the controlled positions and any briefing before you connect.
