Fancy a metal sidestick for your home cockpit? WINCTRL has opened pre-orders for its new 32 Sidestick Controller Metal 2. It announced the stick on X on Wednesday 21 October, and pre-orders opened at 03:00 UK time on Thursday 22 October (10:00 in UTC+8). WINCTRL lists it as starting at $55.53 (US dollars; no UK price has been given).
What is it? WINCTRL describes it as a one-piece, full-metal die-cast body with a high-gloss finish and no seams. It has a long-travel push-to-talk (PTT) trigger, which WINCTRL says gives clear tactile feedback, and a magnetic cover over the hat switch for a more realistic look.
Coming later. WINCTRL is also developing a bellow gaiter for the 32 Sidestick, which it says fits around the base without restricting movement. It hasn't given a release date for that yet.
Price and shipping. WINCTRL lists the stick as "starting at $55.53". Pre-orders are open on all of WINCTRL's sites, and the stick is due on WINCTRL's Global Shipping site from Wednesday 28 October. More features and details are on WINCTRL's website.
Remember, this is a pre-order. We'll update this story once the Metal 2 starts shipping.
Would you swap your current stick for a metal one?
